As You Are provides affordable counselling and group work for depression, stress and anxiety for people living in Brighton, Hove, Portslade, Southwick, Shoreham, Lancing and Worthing.

As You Are is a registered charity (1147468) and provides a professional service to both adults and children with fees operating on a sliding scale from £8 to £35 per session. The service depends on donations, if you can, please send us a donation.

Session for Families

We are pleased to announce from early 2019, we are adding Systemic Family session to our range of counselling services. We recognise that “family” can look very different for each of us; we are defining family as a system of support that could be nuclear families, step-families, lone parents and might well include extended family members or close friends. As You Are offer a variety of services for individuals, couples and groups



People come to counselling with a variety of difficulties including depression, anxiety and stress. They may be overwhelmed by their feelings, unable to cope, having relationship difficulties or low self-esteem. They may have experienced difficult life events such as bereavement, divorce or trauma.



As You Are have recently launched a psychosexual service providing specialist support for couples or individuals who are experiencing problems with intimacy or their sexual relationships.


Relationship Therapy

Relationship Therapy is availed at As You Are. Our Relationship Therapy service and provides an opportunity for two people to access therapy together to explore their relationship and can help improve communication and problem solving.



Our PAC groups can help you; have a better understanding of SMART goals and your own blocks to achieving, reduce or stop patterns of harmful self medication and increase self confidence to use positive and assertive communication
